The UK retailer GAME is in some ways a shell of its former self, with the previous 5 or so years seeing the model shutter shops, finish a lot of its providers, and extra. In an unlucky and unexplained transfer, GAME has cancelled plenty of pre-orders for the upcoming Change 2 – only one week out from its launch.
Releasing the shock assertion to Twitter, the official ‘GAMEdigital’ web page introduced the next:
“We sincerely apologise for the current cancellation of some Nintendo Change 2 pre-orders. We perceive how disappointing that is, particularly for individuals who have been eagerly awaiting their order. We’re at present working arduous to reinstate as many affected pre-orders as potential. In case your order was impacted, please know that we’re doing every little thing we are able to and will likely be in contact with additional updates and subsequent steps.”
The assertion concludes with “Thanks in your persistence and understanding whereas we work to resolve this. We really admire your assist.”
Whereas already a significant blow to those that pre-ordered the system, what is probably extra complicated is the dearth of any rationalization as to why these cancellations befell. With none official cause being provided, followers are left to invest. Was it a case of GAME providing extra items than they had been allotted? Was there a glitch within the system? Sadly we do not know.
All that mentioned, and as unlikely because it appears, hopefully GAME are in a position to honour all of their pre-orders – and get them within the palms of gamers on day-one. We should wait and see.
