As already teased earlier, Pontakorn Prasertsuk aka peppapig/peppapighs launched the HE60, a 60% Corridor-effect PCB with cut up spacebar help, and a Tsangan backside row structure.
That is my newest challenge in my ongoing Corridor-effect keyboard obsession. Impressed by open-source tasks like GH60, Waffling60, and Macrolev, I created this design with the hope that it’ll function a helpful reference for anybody enthusiastic about constructing their very own Corridor-effect PCB – Pep.
The PCB was developed with a give attention to lowering fabrication prices. The present model prices ~80USD for two boards utilizing JLCPCB financial system PCBA. To realize this, the creator eliminated many elements from earlier designs that he discovered had little to no influence on PCB efficiency.
The HE60 runs on the libhmk firmware, beforehand launched by Pep. The software program latency (from enter detection to USB packet transmission) averaged round 0.4ms – “not dangerous for a PCB polling at 1000Hz”, in line with the designer.
